If you were to have an only child, he/she will have the tendency to be spoiled. Also, he/she will 'miss out' on the fun of having siblings. If you were to have 4, I believe that number is a handful and you've got to be ready to raise all 4 children and give them a good education and a good life.

I guess having 2 or 3 children will do just fine. Not only is it 'manageable', but you will be able to give your time to each and every one of them. Plus, your kids will enjoy the fact that they have siblings to play with and interact with on a daily basis. With that, they will learn how to socialize and know more about relationships.

Overall, it's still your decision. No matter what the number is, the most important thing to remember is to be able to raise your child/children up in the best possible way. Your love, concern and devotion as a parent will count most.

That is up to you to decide. How many diapers, formula, and baby stuff can you afford? How much time are you able to give to them? Do you have a car big enough for four kids? How emotionally ready are you for 1,2,3 or 4? You can't give em back once you've had them! :)

I have 3 - it is amazing really but sometimes they can wear me down especially when they all need me at the same time. ALways wanted at least 3 though.... The kids play together and can entertain eachother.

My first two are 3 years apart and the next difference is 17 months. These two often get mistaken for twins and they definitely have a special bond.

So - the decision is yours to make. I highly recommend at least two though, and if it makes a difference - I say 3 for sure!

Every person is different. I have 5 kids and I'll be honest with you, there are times when I want to check myself into the nut house and days when I can't wait to get a moment to myself, but I love my kids. I had 1 child and married a man who had 2. Then we had 1 together and our second was a huge surprise. I wouldn't trade the life I have with these little monsters for anything! They have taught me more about love, patience & compromise than any text book could!

My kids have VERY good lives. They are spoiled.

First, consider your wife's health, at lest 19 months between pregnancies. How may can you afford to give music lessons until the graduate from High School (Music supports math, reading comprehension, character and discipline)? How many pairs of shoes and sets of under ware can you constantly afford? Where should they all sleep and how much time do have to share with them?

I always wanted four kids (two boys and two girls) which will ironically make me more like my best friend (she's in her forties while I'm in my twenties). No seriously, I think four kids will be perfect. The magical number here is 1 through 6 children.
