What's he doing?Normal mischievous cat things?I've never heard of catnip changing a cat's personality..not in the long run anyways.

Seriosly, no, catnip does not have any long-term effect on cats (unlike humans and weed) it merely puts them into a playful state of mind. Cats do not become addicted to it either.
