I absolutly hate God, and every type of religion.
I have a list of reasons on why we shouldn't believe, but I was wondering...... whats yours?

Everybody is saying, how you can hate someone/something, that you don't believe in?? Well thats a good question, that is VERY hard to answer.

Look at it this way people: He creates us, and then he kills us. When people die, there is more pain in the world. DO YOU HONESTLY, WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD WITH PAIN. And Don't say it was Adam and Eve. They're not real either.

I used to believe in him, but now I don't. My top reasons.... personally..... our cat stumpy. He is best cat in the whole wide world. He got Kidney Failure, and we had to put him down. Stumpy never did anything wrong, he always made people happy. He could make anybody who hated cats, love him in mintues. EVERY DAY, while stumpy was in the hospital, i prayed begging to save his life, but no, GOD IS TO ******* SELFISH. Stumpy was the glue that kept us all together, and now.... it's ruined.

I want more reasons on why we SHOULDN'T (NOT SHOULD, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, DON'T ANSWER THIS QUESTION) believe in GOD

thank you

After reading peoples answers, I have sat and cried for a few mintues, and here me out. I hate everything about God and Religion. It's confusing, my parents have had in the past slammed religion into my our face. It's just so hard to believe in something, you can't see. I know you can't see the wind, and you can't see somethings, but you can feel it. I can't feel God. I can't feel his love. I don't feel anything that has to do with him. Trust me, I have sat down, and tried. In the most horriable situations I have been in, I haven't felt anything. All I felt was anger and pain.

Where was he when, we had to put our cat down?

Where was he when my dad chocked me, because I disagreed of him and my mom adopting 2 girls, that weren't even up for adoption?

He wasn't there.

I have many many reasons, but it's to long to list.

IF YOU GIVE ME YOU'RE EMAILL ADDRESS, I'LL GIVE YOU ABOUT 2 PAGE WORTH OF MY INFORMATION.

SEEING IS BELIEVING (OBSERVATIONS ARE THE KEY)

1. An entity must first be proven to exist (by own observation), otherwise infinite number of entitiies can be believed to exist such as a pink unicorn or an elephant beyong perception blowing soapbells.

2. In court a victim is not accused because of sayings or witnesses, but because of logical assumptions and evidence (observations such as finger prints, etc.). The bible is nothing but a witness. It contains stories, but no evidence.

THE UNIVERSE WAS NOT CREATED

1. Assuming the laws of physics, matter can be converted to energy and vice versa. Matter, nor energy can be destroyed. Every event in nature is defined by motion of at least one particle and hence, it is logical to assume the universe was not created, as it will never dissapear (the density becomes infinitely lower, but the particles remain).

If God created the universe, who created him? If you say God was not created, I say the universe was not created.

WHY THE MIND IS NOT SUPERNATURAL AND/OR METAPHYSICAL AS CLAIMED BY (MANY) CHRISTIANS

1. If a man sleeps, his brain activity lowers greatly. This way a man can sleep without dreaming. When his brain activity is lower, so is his consciousness. I have slept 8 hours yesterday and have no idea what has passed. Hence I assume consciousness is linked to the brain.

2. No man can think without considering his senses. If we have a tought in the back of the head, we imagina a sound, an image, a smell, a touch or a taste. Hence, I assume the brain grew from the senses.

3. Animal evolution clearly shows an evolution in the brain.

The greater the brain:
- the higher the consciousness
- the more complex the creature's life becomes
- the higher its feelings

Yellyfish have no brains, but they do have senses, which also suggests that the brain developed from the senses. Hence, the consciousness developed from the senses.

4. Neuropsychological disorders such as bipolar syndrome or depression can be cured or suppressed. Hence, the mind is not supernatural.

Note: when people claim they saw the light at the end of a tunnel, just before (almost) dying, it is because there remains a thin light beam in the eye, just before it goes all dark.

LOGICAL FLAWS

- God is everywhere and nowhere.
Nothing is everywhere and nowhere, because where nothing is, there is nothing and where something is there is something + nothing. Hence God = nothing (as nothing (else) responds to this assumption).

- God is omnipotent.
a. I ask you: Can he destroy himself? If he did not, you have no evidence he is omnipotent.
b. Can he be greater than himself? If he grows, he is larger than he was, but not then he IS (now).

- God is omniscient.

For those who believe in God:
- If God is omnipotent (possible to do anything) and omniscient (knows everything), then how can he be moral, knowing the fact that each second a crime is committed on earth?

- God is beyond perception.
How was he perceived and assumed to exist? (God is not necessairy to explain the existence of or any event in the universe and hence it is not necessairy to assume his existance.)

Hmmm...you "absolutely HATE God"....and you want people to give you a list of reasons why we "shouldn't believe". Interesting.

Are you starting a God haters club?

Why would you waste so much time and emotion on Something or Someone you don't believe in?

Could it be anger, and not disbelief? Are you sure it is God you are angry at, and not some of His ridiculous representatives?

I know this answer may sound overly simple and maybe not even satisfactory, but I feel I am here simply because that's the way it is. I don't feel anyone is special for being here. We're just that one sperm out of millions of others that just happened to fertilize the egg. Could have been any other sperm, but it just happened to be me, and you. Now, we have to live our lives before we die. We have a multitude of choices, too. Believe in higher powers, try to accomplish greatness, or just try to enjoy life as much as possible before it's time to return to non-existance.

It seems to me it will be a while before either science or religion is proven to be right. Science has yet to prove we evolved, and Armageddon is taking quite some time in arriving. All we can do meanwhile, is believe what we believe.

My belief is, soon as man concieved the idea of a higher diety, the worship of that diety and the rituals involved constituted religion. So I think automatically, when you believe in a higher power, and as a result you follow certain practices to go with that belief, that is religion.

This is the purpose of religion

Explain existance of universe

Give people hope and inspiration

Praise God for the good in the world

Blame devil for bad in the world

Give power to religious leaders

Control people with the idea of Damnation

if you don't believe in God, then why do you say you hate God? I totally understand hating organized religion. it is packed with hypocrisy, greed, self-centered people, and many other drawbacks. However, I don't hate God. It's my understanding that people are flawed and when a buncha flawed people come together surrounding their belief in a supreme being, the result will be a flawed organization. Sounds like you are mad at an idea. If I were looking at the topic as a total gamble, I'd say, believe in God, because the alternative doesn't offer a better package.

Are you really sure you hate God Missy

Are you sure it's God that you don't believe in, or is it the silly little judgmental idea of god you were given as a child that you can no longer believe in? There is a difference you know.

First we need to determine which God we are talking about here. Are you referring to the real God, the unconditionally loving God who we are all a part of? This is the one Jesus was talking about when he said the kingdom of God is within you. The one who is our dearest friend and closest companion.

Or are we talking about the angry little judgmental God that lives on some far off cloud called heaven. The one who seems to be more concerned with our errors than he is with our successes? You know the egocentric needy little God that always wants people to worship him. The one who is always unavailable because he is only a fantasy? You need to specify if you want a real answer.

There are no reasons not to believe. Many people dont though because all the suffering people, and the world endures. But that is Satan the Devil's fault because he is the ruler of the earth. But the Bible fortells a time in the future when the earth will be peaceful. Revelation 21:4 says: "And he will wipe every tear from thier eyes and will be no more, neither will mouring, nor outcry, nor pain be any longer. The former things have passed away."

Do you ever list why you do not believe in God?

Rather or not you believe in God, God believes in you!

There is no real way to prove God if you have an affinity to disprove him. God is God. God is love, God is patience, God is all that feels good and right.
Lucifer is what makes you think there is no God. Lucifer does not want you to worship God. Lucifer is a great confuser and Liar and will do his best to drive you from God.
It is a lot easier to prove that Lucifer exist then it is to prove that God exist, mainly because since the sin of Adam and Eve, Lucifer began his rule on earth.

Proof of Lucifer would be: Timothy McVey, Osama bin Laden, Taliban, Atheist, and Terrorist.
Proving God is a lot more difficult mainly because you have to be willing to see him and his works. Heck, how the USA is winning in Iraq and the Middle east with minimal casualties is only the work of God. Israel and what they are doing now is the work of God. God is not evil, but God will use man to show his punishment to Lucifer's followers.

I do wish you Luck and God Bless You!

Thanks for the additional response. Now I know what drove you to where you are.
Do you realize that sometimes people and animals are placed here for more then just a mere pet? Sometimes God places people and animals around you to test you. Sometimes the test is as simple as how well can you treat other living things. Sometimes it is a test of faith. Your Cat was your test of faith. God loved you cat too. Your cat may have a better life awaiting it after it died. It could have been the Cat's turn at a Human life and God called it home to fulfil it.
God thanks you for taking care of that cat and loving that cat as much as you did. The cat was never yours. It was always God's and you where in charge of the care and livelyhood of it.
You did great on it's care, but you are failing the faith test.
I have a vibe that you do not really hate God other then you hate the fact he took your favorate cat to heaven and you was not ready. (God tried to prepare you with the Kidney issue. You knew the cat was probably going to pass soon)
Step back and ask God for guidance and strength and answers. Listen and you will get your answers. He has been talking to you anyways and you are ignoring him.

I don't think we should believe in religion.
But I think that we should believe in some sort of god.

For children, it is just so much easier to explain death, and make it happy if we mention god, rather than he's dead and that's it, which is all you really can say if you don't believe in god.

Really? Have you studied every single religion out there? Besides, what reasons do you have to hate god? There is a difference between not believeing and hating.

I believe in God but obviously since you don't believe in him whats the point?

God is not an unjustified mythology. The earth, you and me r his creation. That is justification enough I would think
God is not mythology, God is truth.

You're buying into the idea that "God" is the very flawed, very human "deity" created on the pages of the bible. That's not 'God'. Believing the bible's god is an insult to the true 'God', who is perfection and grace beyond our ability to comprehend. The real 'God' is in all things, in everyone - but most people would rather bow down to false idols who are angry, spiteful and egomaniacal.

I'm very sorry about your cat. I know how it feels to miss a beloved pet. He will come back to you. Those we love always, always return to us.
