I met a guy recently and after a couple days we slept together. I am still interested in him, but i want to wait until we do anything again. How can I let him know I like him, but need time before we do anything in that area again? Even if it is just a week or so.

Tell him exactly that, in those same words. Or you can tell him that you like him a lot but want to slow down the physical side of the relationship until you get to know him a bit better.

be blunt. say you really like him. say sleeping together so early was just...well, too early! if he's a gooder, he'll understand.
