Relatives are so damn hypocrites and pathetic sometimes!!!!!!!?

My husband have some cousin out here..Since i came to canada..none of them have ever decently invited us for supper..but they have come by a lots of times by us..when they come by us,we always have the best dishes cooked to make them feel mostly welcomed..They always say passed by..for me it's not an invitation..anfd passed by by peoples just like them is not my kind cause who knows whether they are busy or not..or can expect guest..so i never did..my husband work 7 days a week..we were recently invited for one of his cousin's daughter birthday but that one day before..when common friends have been invited since a week..How do they expect us to get organized and come if they wanted us to come..Last time they did the same ****..we did not complain and send the boy a gift but we never did receive a damn thanks..born without manners..Yesterday we geta letter in the mail..belonging to the cousin's daughter..we went to drop it by them..though we are busy with our own renovation..we went..

Both wife and husband were waiting for us on their doorstep..our plan were just to drop and go..cause we have things to do..they asked my husband to come inside..need to talked to him for 2minutes..he went inside ..i didn't ..cause we were not supposed too..They told him that they are not very happy to hear that we said that they took us for option..and they say that just because we are family and by courtesy they have called us but knew that we couldn't make it..that's so pathetic..then for me.you should never have call us then..don't even bother...you wasted your minutes on your phones..just for courtesy..also he told my husband that i'm family you not with you wife then the wife stopped him and told that he shouldn't say that it's not nice..then he changed to..i mean you are my blood cousin..nana..some peoples in my point if view are so uneducated..they are maybe in the 30s or 40s..instead of sayign as a young couple we shouldn't be talking like that.

Instead of telling us we are young couple and have a way to say..i truly want to tell them that they need to grow up and watch out themselves cause they are not that angel..they prayed and have a name in the church but they are so liars and hypocrites..have not seen peoples with such attitudes..i already told my husband..i frankly tell the cousin if ever he call by my place ..not to call ever again..cause this number is only for family and friends who are related to me and my hubby not blood related..blood related should call on my hubby cell not at home and also i don't talk to stranger who is not blood related..silly ppl..in what era are they living in??? God such families i don't want..if ever he come and say something to me..i'll tell him faltly who he think he is and on what relation does he based himself to talk to me like this..cause for me..you are not related to me then don't damn talked to me..i'll be the b***** if i have too..cause i'm sick and tired with those family rift

The wife told my husband..we don't even know where you guys are..She knows damn well where we are moving..it's just that we are having our place renovated and have suspended our line as we are living by my hub's parents place..they said that they wanted to come and help..with their attitudes and mentality..i have prefered way more to pay moving companies and do things by ourselves than take or ask help then owe ppl for whole life..oh they have help me..then after that i would have had to bring them to restaurant and when my house is ready to invite them when they don't and have never invited me by them..what a shame to come eat by me and can't invite me once decently..me there..i don't live on invitation..i work..i earn..i can take care of me..if i can ..i'll eat if have money or else better starve then just go by ppl..and don't even do anything in life and the future..they go out everywhere and every weekend..expect us to do the same!!!

They are mean peoples..they come as well by my in laws every weekend but never invite them..now my father in law have told them to stop coming by their place...and last time we have celebrated his birthday..he has invited all his friends and other family but not them..just like the do..but you tell them something or do the same..they then feel bad..they like to give lectures but no to receive..me i want to stop frequenting those types of ppl..what can i do..they are still relative..i want to fix their A** good and teach them a good lesson to remind ..anyone out there who have some nice ideas??????

Everyone is born without manners. They have to be taught. While it seems universally accepted the in-laws treat females married in a family poorly, there is no reason you are obligated to constantly entertain these people.

Edited to add based on your additional details: The way to appropriately handle inviting someone one knows can not make it is to extend the invitation anyway and acknowledge that one understands if it's not possible to attend. It is poor form to exclude someone with the idea they couldn't come anyway. You extend and allow them to decline.

Inconsiderate relatives seems to be everywhere, especially the freeloaders. Perhaps you shouldn't put the all outs to welcome them. If they showed up announced, politely remind them to please call you ahead if they can, because sometimes you may be busy with something else. As for the lack of thank you cards, call the offender and ask,"Did you get the gift?" Nothing like putting them on the spot. You will be a welcome mat as long as you let your relatives walk over you. Get some steel in your spine and learn who is it that you'd like to be close to and focus on that group. Good luck dear.

You need to put your foot down and open your mouth and just tell them the truth. Make sure they understand you and that you are really getting the message clear to them. See how they react. My family is so like the rudest ever and I went to my aunt's house one day and she would not even let me in her big mansion. You will be miserable if you don't take control of your life and they will make you feel guilty.
