Friends having sex with each other will always change the friendship. The strength of the friendship will determine whether the changes are good or bad. Also, while us guys do think of sex a lot and can generaly have sex without wanting marriage, there are some of us who form strong emotional connections through sex. It then depends on what his views are concerning sex, women and commitments. Depending on where you want the friendship to go and where he would want it to go should be the final deciding factor along with how much you two trust each other.

ummm if u can keep it strictly sexual then there shouldnt be too much of a problem but i am sorry to say that it does affect the friendship especially when one or the other starts a new relationship and the sex has come to an end there can be a lot of hard feelings. I tried this once with a good friend of mine and he fell in love and never told me and now we no longer talk because i am with someone now and am engaged to be married. He even tried getting with my best friend to make me jealous and it did not work cause i am happy where i am at and now i am even more mad at him because he hurt her for no reason i mean she was just an innocent bystander and now he wont even talk to me and i wont talk to him because of what he did so i would say yes that if u do not lay down the terms of it that it can change a really good friend into a worst enemy

Bad. Gain a moment of fun, lost a dear friend forever.
It is not possible to be next to a female, especially a good friend talking hearts for so long, yet feel nothing. But if I respect her as friend, I should do what a man must do . . . control.
I was in that situation, and glad I did the right thing. Now she is a good friend to my wife too. Whenever we are together, we will make sure we are not in a secluded places, and if possible, get out family out with us.
I still maintain strong friendship with gals. But the strongest friendship with female is still my wife.

I don't find nothing wrong or uncomfortable with it. In fact I do it personally. Never had any problems, except when I have a new gf. And she knows me and my close friend used to sleep with each other just for sex. Then it's time to pop the question... "Are you game for a 3 some?"

It would change alot of things between friends. It does not matter how close you are. It's a bad thing in some situations but can also be good. It could be bad because, maybe the other friend wants a bf/gf relationship and you don't. It may help you realize feelings for your friend.

My husband has been through this a few times, and it does change the dinamics. If you both go into it knowing it's just sex, that's fine. But it may be hard to go on being friends when one or the other moves onto a real relationship.
