What I hate is when someone leaves the timer at, say 1:14, and the time is 12:50...It makes me question the accuracy of my watch and gives me that little adrenaline kick like I'm going to be late for an appointment.

At least until I realize what happened.

Those people probably don't return their shopping carts to the return areas either...

I hate that, but it does not bother me when they leave 12 seconds or 15 seconds or even 3 seconds actually it only bothers me when they leave14 seconds

the other day at work I yelled across the break room, "who left 14 secons on the microwave again" and the really fat guy lowered his head and began to showel the food in his month. so I yelled at him to get his buns over here and zero out the microwave.

You hit on one of my pet peeves. If it becomes a common practice, what is the point of having a clock on the microwave? I just think it's rude and inconsiderate.

I have to wonder tho, is there a significance in 14 seconds as opposed to any other time?
