Action. Love based on feelings is not really love at all.
If you only love someone if it feels right it means that you are judging him or her worthy of your love. This is only judgment, not love.
Jesus asked us to love our neighbor.
Notice that there is no except for in his statement. He obviously intended for us to love everyone all the time. This universal application of love is the only true meaning of love.
At first this had me a bit confused. It seemed as though Jesus was saying that it was not right for me to reserve a special love for my children and others close to me.
I meditated and ask Jesus to give me an answer to this misunderstanding that I was having. The answer came clear as a bell. I was not being asked to love my children any less. He was asking me to love everyone else just as much as I loved my children.
Was I embarrassed, how had I missed it for so long?

Love is not a feeling - love is an action verb. 1 Corinthians 13 - talks all about love. Sometimes we as humans don't always feel loving - Jesus didn't necessarily love the idea of dying on the cross but he did. Why? Jesus died on the cross because he loved us beyond words. When we chose love through our actions like being nice to someone, visiting an elderly person, going to the hospital to make someone feel better, helping those in need we feel a whole lot better about ourselves and it brings glory to God. Even when we do something good for someone we don't like - think what it does to them emotionally - it either makes them guilty for being mean to you and apologize or they will want to keep away from you because they can't handle your kindness. You have won in either cases. Love will come when we take action on doing what is right even if it takes a long time. All through the Bible we read - God chose to love the Israelites despite what they did, God chose to love the human race enough to send Jesus, God still loves the human race and time and time again he comes to our rescue despite our failures. The love God has for us is not based on feelings - if it was the human race would be extinct. We need to chose to love despite what we feel on the inside because God's love is the only thing that will set people free from their own sins.

Action. Love is truly love when you take the necessary steps to prove what you really feel. It is easy to say, "I love you." When you show that you love someone, it is believable.

action
i would rather use the television show Angel as my source
in the fourth season a four-legged demon was talking to Wesley and said "Love is sacrifice." I think that holds very true

love is love . its a feeling . if you lovee someone you can feel it,taste it ,breath it . it doesnt have to be an action even thoguh you do show the one you love through actions. you can show someone your love just by looking at them and them looking in your eyes . its a feeling and full of power.
