go for it. If you two like each other go for it. I like my best friend and he liked me but we never told each other then he moved away and i barely talk to him anymore. Tell him. You will regret it if you don't

What would be so wonderful and magical is if you guys date, go to the prom, and get married right after you both finish college. Not very many people marry their high school sweethearts. That would be great.

But my real answer is keep things light between the two of you. If he has feelings for you, you guys should try not to date seriously until college. That way, you give each other time to have other relationships and get all the game-playing out of the way.

You guys have been friends for so long, you should be able to just ask him how he feels. And don't worry about it ruining the friendship, it won't. Hey, I was 16 when I met my husband in high school. We dated three times before we got married! We just had our 1 year anniversary and have a beautiful baby, and we have always stayed friends. You never know what can happen if you don't take a chance! Good luck!!

Cut the confusing, claim of uncertainty, girl. If you think he has good feelings for you, and everything he does, indicates that he does, then trust me- he does have feelings for you. I think the real question might actually be, do you really have good feelings for him? And can you not only have a relatinship with him now, but also can you keep it going, throught 12th grade and beyond? I know, you said you're both in 9th grade. But 12th will come, if you get my drift. So, go for it! But do behave for him. Nobody likes a girl whose so back and forth changable and stubborn.

How sweet. I fell in love with my best friend in 9th grade too! The best thing for you to do is to talk to him. He's your best friend! If he feels the same way he will love the opportunity to tell you and if he does not feel the same way, he will still be your best friend and tease the hell out of you about it and keep it on the surface only.

Good luck! Hope it turns out the way you want!

You have known each other for half your lives. You have developed a long friendship and you like each other.

Now you are going through the growing pains together, the insecurities, is this love?, is this not love?. What is this I am feeling? Is it a crush, an illusion?

Go easy, let this feelings grow on their own, so you can define exactly what is this you are feeling.

Wait a little longer.

You are young go to school dances with him and enjoy the company. I dated my first love for many years on and off. The problem is she went to one school and I another. We could not see much of each other. You will find many barriers in your way. Don't worry you have lots of time. You do not need to make a permanent decision today

you guys are still pretty young, but since you seem to like him i would suggest that don't rush it. you are have known each other for pretty long, but since "love" isn't really developed since recently I would say wait a bit, and explore each other's thoughts on that subject a bit deeper first. Because since you are liking him, that might block you from viewing the picture as a whole. To avoid odd moments and such, its safer to talk more about each other's feelings first.
