why do we always seem to fall for the wrong person? why can't we see the 'red flags' that other people can clearly see? is it a subconcious thing? don't you have to love yourself before you can love someone else?
my point is....why do we continue to pine for or stay in a relationship with, someone who is not right for us?

Is it LOVE or just ATTRACTION? Or is it merely an EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT that you have developed - over time - for this "wrong" person?

You're asking some very good questions. Look to your past, check to see if there is something common that you are doing. The red flags are there all right and you see them as well, but for some reason, you care for this person and you don't want to see the so called red flags. Again, look into your past, there is something there!!!! It helps.

love in not an emotion like most people think.....love is a choice....you feel the emotion at first and go with it you choose to stay with that person because at one time you adored them.....you care for them the best you can and stick with them then the emotion will come back and go and come back and so on when you feel the emotion it is the most wonderful thing in the world

Because our emotions and desires often overide our common sense. As for why we stay in bad relationships. Ive said this before and Ill say it again. Its very hard to break emotional ties even when we need to, for our own good.
