Try cold shower, get lotion with Aloe in it..avoid anything that contains oil..try OTC pain medications such as Ibuprofen or Tylenol which ever you are not allergic too..be careful about keeping hydrated with lots of fluids (water and Gatorade) and if you blister or get nauseated or vomit and can't keep anything down then see the ER ASAP...look at what you used as a sunscreen and re-evaluate using it next time..

Get Solarcaine spray from your local pharmacy to help numb the area. then keep an eye on it for any blistering. If you do see blisters then you need to see the doctor because this would be a second degree burn.

Second degree burns often get infected and compound your agony.

DO NOT POP ANY BLISTERS !!!

As long as there are no blisters you can use an ice bag to help with the pain and the swelling. If you can tolerate having it on your legs.

Either your spf wasn't strong enough or it wasn't waterproof. The best thing I found for a sunburn is Solarcaine in the spray form. It works the best!
