Many websites post the number of winners for each year. I would like to know the number of applicants to better assess my chances. Strangely, those numbers are not published with the numbers of winners (at least not where I looked).

I think that you should not depend on winning the greencard lottery. Chances are not good. I dont know the number

No more than 7% of applicants from one region can be receive a green card from the lottery. There nare 50,000 visas available and last year 5.9 million applications were received. Listed below is a link for last year's results. Chances are not very good, but you can't win if you don't apply. You never know, it could be your lucky year. I'm sure the people who register and won weren't thinking that they had a chance at actually winning either.
