Widescreen Review, The Perfect Vision are magazines that have excellent detailed reviews, but they usually only cover mid-price and high-end units. Consumer repots is ok, but their reviews overlook several technicalties that may be of interest, and have limited depth. Another way to get information is to go to the AVS forum section on display devices http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=9
and see what people (who in general are very nit-picky) say about the currently available monitors.

I would take any and all reviews with a grain of salt. Its amazing at how afraid all of these publications are at giving a bad review and angering a manufacturer. I do however like reading home theater personally, after finishing the current issue of "stuff" magazine first of course.
