you are not suppose to wet your hair either it still can cause the bonding process to break down. If she like her curls the way they are now i would suffer through until your time to wash. your curls will loosen even if you wet your hair. this is from 20 years of perms and crimp perms. AND I am a stylist.
The 48 hr rule is so the hair shaft can completely dry, so why would you wet it? it also depends are where you live if it is humid good luck because your hair shaft will not dry as fast, and if it is dry in your area you could maybe wash it or "wet" sooner.

You CAN wet your hair and put products on it. It is not recommended to wash it for a few days (NOT BECAUSE IT WILL DEACTIVATE THE CHEMICALS AS SOMEONE TOLD YOU--it is not possible to deactivate the perm solution after the neutralizer has been put on, that's what neutralizer does) but because it can cause the curls to separate and frizz.

You can wet it, just not wash it. Joico makes a good leave in conditioner for permed hair that you can use right after getting it done. You can also use styling products. Good luck!

I wouldn't because it might look greasy. Pull it back and slick down flyaways with something, preferably wax
