God's name is Yahweh in Hebrew or translated into English, Jehovah: Psalms 83:18 KJV older editions. About 7000 places in The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Jehovah chose this name for himself, it means; he causes to become, meaning he can become anything necessary to deliver his people.

God is referrd to by many names and titles, but he does have a name that refers only to him personally. He revealed it to Moses at the burning bush. It is written in the ancient scriptures with the hebrew characters for "YHWH" which roughly translates to "I am". This is not actually his name. The vowels were removed from it. This is done in all the ancient scriptures by the Jewa to ensure that the name of God was not accidentally defaced or destroyed or taken in vain. In the past, the name's proper spelling and pronounciation were well known, but over time it has been lost. Some people think the full name is "Jehova" or "Yahweh", though neither is really accepted as right by scholars, though they are the best guesses we have.

His special reverent name is YHWH (Yahway) The ancient Israelites honored His name and didn't use it to often. They usualy called Him Jehovah( Lord). God usually called Himself " I AM THAT I AM" or( I exist ). Jesus also called Himself the I AM in the New Testament. God has many names, but one of them is NOT Allah. They are not the same, just read the Quran and the Bible see for yourself.
Here are some more names....
Jahova Jirah (The Lord provides), The Almighty, Alpha & Omega.
But I commonly call Him Father.

That has not been revealed to us. God said to Moses from the burning bush: I Am Who Am, tell the people I Am has sent you unto them...
From this we can gather that God is the First Cause, the Great I Am from which all things came to be.
Certain mythology has it that only the lowly camel can utter the ineffable name of God during moments of great duress. Lilith, according to certain legends, Adam's first wife, allegedly pronounced the ineffable name of God, sprouted wings and flew off to a distant mountain peak to couple with demons.
In the New Testament, of course, Jesus calls God "Abba," which translates to something like "Daddy."
Elohim is a title, meaning 'Lord;' Yahweh is "I Am;" Jehovah is a mistranslation of Yahweh.
Perhaps we should look at the wisdom of St. Francis of Assisi, "Whatever we call Him, there is but one God."

In the book of Acts in the New Testament, the apostle Peter, when speaking of Jesus, says "for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved." Now, since only God can save people, then the name of God must be Jesus.

Jehovah is his given name. Have you ever sung a hymn and said Hallelujah? You just praised Jehovah!
Congradulations! You can now talk to God and use his Holy name. Don't forget to pray through Jesus name.

God doesn't really have a name. He said He is who He is, implying He is God. He is known by his deeds. He is the Creator, the Savior, the Judge, the Wonderful Counselor, and many others.

It depends on the religion. Christians say God, Muslims say Allah, ect. This is just a name that humans have given their deity in order to refer to it.
