IED's or Improvised Explosive Devices (Fancy Military Term for Bomb) come is all shapes and sizes and vary in amount of destructive power. I have known of IED's to destroy Army Bradley Fighting Vehicles and M1A1 Tanks. Both of these vehicles or heavily armored weigh from 35-70 tons. Most of the IED's are not capable of destroying such vehicles, but they are definitely out there. Sorry if this isn't the answer you'd like to hear.

Most IEDs are artillery and mortar shells stuck together to make one bomb. The more shells there are, the greater the IED's power will be.

AN IED CAN DESTROY ANYTHING DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE IED. IF ITS AN ANTI TANK MINE (IED) NOTHING HAS A SHOT AT SURVIVING THAT HUGE BLAST. DOESNT MATTER IF ITS USED BY THE ARMY, MARINES, NAVEY, AIR FORCE. IT JUST DOESNT MATTER
