Can A Holy God reach His limit with people, like the ones who curse Him?

Absolutely. In the book of Genesis, God destroyed mankind because they had corrupted themselves. (Noah and the Ark)

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If therefore you won't watch, I will come as a thief, and you won't know what hour I will come upon you.

Yes, but... When God described Himself to Moses, He stated: "The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth..." The idea of long suffering is the same as being patient. (Exodus 34:6)

When you think about God's patience, you can look to history and see. He told Abraham that the Amorites' iniquity had not reached its limit. How long did it take before they had? Several hundred years. 430 of those were while Israel was in Egypt. (Cf: Genesis 15 and Exodus 12:41)

While the Lord is not always this patient, He does give us quite a long leash before He jerks it on us. Hope that helps!

You have until you die, which none of us knows when that will happen. This is why Jesus calls everyone to repentence now. Not tomorrow, not the day after that, not next week or next year, but now. Every person that reads this has no clue what will happen five minutes from now, five hours or five years. A car wreck tomorrow could end your life. That is how fast death comes.

Because of this urgency, Christ is almost screaming at us (excuse the expression) to repent and turn back to God. His forgiveness and mercy is infinite, but you have to ask for it now, because you never know where you'll be tomorrow.

God bless,

Danny

You ask "Can" He -- the answer of course is yes He can because He can do anything. He reached his limit back before the flood and wiped out all of humanity. But then He promised He would never do that again. So, again, He "can," but He will not, at least to the extent of the flood. As far as showing us His power, He shows it to us every minute of every day through His works of creation and providence.

Absolutely not. Anger and retaliation are a form of ignorance limited to animals, including the human animal.

People continue to insist 'God' is human as described in the bible fairy tales, which is really insulting to 'God.' Such blindness, to see 'God' in that limited, malignant way.

'God' is perfection -- a completely nonjudgmental energy, a constant brilliance of wisdom.

Sure. He got sick of what people did in Noahs days and wiped them all out save for Noahs family.

It'll get to that point again when the Antichrist is in power.

And when He has reached His limit, will the ones who curse Him finally realize how foolish they have been?
