No it does not work over the long haul. It's a diet from the 80's and if it had worked we'd all be skinny by now. Try South Beach; but you have to have a lot of will power those first two weeks and then you MUST maintain the program for the rest of your life. But you'll drop 8 pounds by the third week. By the way, Weight Watches has the highest success rate.

Cabbage diet??? Yeah just what you need... To be fat and gassy.

Look, if you seriously want to lose weight you need to watch your daily calorie intake. It works like very simple math. If you put too much in - you gain weight. The trick is that you need to eat lower calories while also increasing the nutrition value of the food you eat so you don't wind up feeling like you're starving. If you lower your calories but eat food that has little to no nutritional value then your body will crave more food and you'll eat too much. This is why people that eat fast food gain so much weight. They aren't getting nutrition in that type of food so not only are they eating badly but their also eating too much of it because they're always hungry for more nutrition. The other thing you NEED to do is exercise. If you don't already it can be very hard to start but once you get going with it you'll eventually get to a point where you'll wonder how you ever didn't. The BEST thing to do is join a gym. People that try to work out at home have a higher failure rate because it's way too easy to quit or be lazy about it. So again, if you haven't already - join a gym.

So this is what you do. Go to the link I'm including below and figure out what your daily calorie limit is in order to lose weight. Then start eating foods that are more healthy - foods high in vitamins, protein, and low in carbs. You do want to lower your carbs also but not completely. Carbs turn to sugar within 45 minutes and then get stored as fat. You should take a daily vitamin also to help make sure you get enough nutrition. Dieting can be hard at first but it doesn't have to be a bad experience. Keep in mind that the more you workout the more calories you're allowed per day so you'll be able to eat more if you exercise. Good luck.

Toss the cabbage diet or any diet for that matter! None of them work! And if they did a little it is short term, water weight and you end up with more weight gain then when you started. and oh look out cabbage causes lots of gas!

If you want to lose weight, eat right and EXCERCISE more than your intake of food per day and you will lose. No diets, no stinky cabbage and no meal plans just fruit, water veggies, lean meats and normal healthy food. good luck!

If you want to lose weight; eat healthier, eat less and exersize more. If this sounds too much like work, then choose a fad diet. They are all alike in that they have no effect in the long run....excepting that some will make you quite sick.
