Try www.venere.com. They have lots of Italian accomodation of all prices and ranges. You can choose by area to ensure a central location and you don't have to pay anything until you check out of the hotel. We've used them a lot and they're great.
Buon fortuna.

There is a place called The Bellevue House. I read about it in several different places. Tripadvisor.com has it rated very high by people who have stayed there. It is within walking distance of everything important in centeral Florence. The price is like 70 euros for a double. The service is supposed to be excellent. I believe the website is www.bellevuehouse.it

no idea,... i forget the hotel's name where we stayed while we were there... it was two min walk away from the train station... but the most amazing restaurant with the most amazing views we ate on the " tuscan hills" was Trattoria Omero" copied off website..http://www.ristoranteomero.it/
tell carlo kayla said hi.. bhahahahha
is situated in the centre of the ancient quarter of "Arcetri", just a stone's throw from Piazzale Michelangelo, on a street know as "Via Pian dei Giullari", which was named after the minstrels who used to perform popular version of folk tales.
It is a long and rambing thoroughfare that winds its way from Poggio Imperiale to the Church of Santa Margherita a Montici.
Halfway along the road is the house know as "Il Gioello", the last home of Galileo Galilei and standing opposite it is "Trattoria Omero", a charming inn which still retains its unique old-worldly charm.

Hi,,, here you go...
When you get off the train from the airport in Pisa,, go to your right in the station.. outside the door,, across the street are 3 hotels.. all are fine,, inexpensive and are close walking distance to everything you are going to experience...
PS>. the Duermo.. (the big catherdal) if you go on the right side,, about a block,, is a small resturant on the right... Wonderful food,, reasonable priced... chicken carbinari,, my suggestion......yum yum....
good luck,, have fun.....
