Last night, I think I had a seizure. I went to the hopsital and they did x-rays, a CT, blood work, urine sample, blood sugar test, and an EKG. Everything came back fine, so they think it could have been a seizure. Apparently, I made a moaning sound, then hit the floor. My eyes were open, pupils dialated, teeth and fists were clenched tight, and I held my chin against my chest very rigidly. I also bit my tongue and cheek until I bled. Afterwards, I had a terrible headache. Today, the headache is better, but still there. My body aches from the fall which is to be expected but the thing that scares me is that my head feels weird...kinda spacy...almost like I've taken Nyquil or something like that. Earlier, I thought it was going to happen again. I started to panic and cry very suddenly, but after a few minutes, it stopped. I'm scared of doing it again...while driving or something like that. Has anyone else out there had something like this happen? When will I feel better?

It truly depends on the person on when they feel "normal" again. Some people it takes a few hours, some a whole day. From what you describe, it does sound like a seizure. But to truly know for sure, the hospital would have to run a brain test called an EEG. They typically will not do this until you have a 2 or more (depending on the doctor) unexplained episodes.

It is a damn scary thing to go through and I know that you are nervous. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any more questions and I will try my best to help out.

you need to consult with a Neurologist, and get an EEG done, it measures your brain waves, does not hurt, they put some goo in your hair and fasten electrodes to it, no pain at all, and you just lie there, it might take twenty minutes.
Have you hit your head recently? Have you been eating and drinking water in this hot weather? I had a friend who drank a lot of diet soda, at the time they used aspartame, and he had a seizure, the only one in his life, but I think they did a study with diet sweeteners and found that mice would have seizures from the sugar.
Please consult with your Dr. and see about a referral with a Neurologist.

Girl, I'mma tell you that I had a seizure for the first time in October of last year. It took me quite a while (3 months) to get back to the state I'm in now. Hopefully, you have someone to help you through your time of need. Good luck. ^_^

P.S. I don't recommend you drive right now. Wait at least a week (if you can).
