Something you can do for depression: exercise. Just walking helps. It will help you sleep and feel fit. I find that my son tics less, is less frustrated, and is overall happier when he is doing something physically (he likes to swim).

I am disappointed to hear that your church was no help. Having a spiritual life is important, as well. Seek a non-denominational group that studies the Bible verse-by-verse (NOT topical messages).

This is a battle that most have to deal with... the usual pattern is; emotions out of control.. It is a battle between the intellectual mind and that of the subconscious mind. The intellect is reluctant to give up any control and thereby keeps the mind very busy so it doesn't even have time to rest or get quiet. You would definitely feel that your mind is out of control..It is but, you can do something about it.

hi, i fully understand where your coming from!!!i thought i was cracking up.i had exactly the same symptoms, apart from the tourettes, i went to the doctors for help, but found no use in that department.i was put on 3 lots of antidepresents, but none of them worked.so when i came off them all together, i made sure i got plenty of sleep, and within a week i got myself back to normal.i hope this is of some use to you,but i found that when i lack sleep thats when i tend to sway in that direction.hope this is some help to you.

i dont know if its a common happening but my ex son in law had tourettes and also paranoid schitzophrenia, you should see a doctor and have him find out, after all it can be treated medically to help balance out your brain chemistry
