No it does not. You will see seams. My sister bought a house with this and she finally gave up and had a professional spackle over all the seams and do some other things to make it look natural. It was too awful to remove too.

Yes and no. It depends on the wall paper texture and the type of paint and roller you use. Also, you have to becareful, because if you put wet paint on wallpaper, some areas may actually lossen at the seams. My suggestion would be to take the wallpaper down and then skim the wall with sheetrock mud, then paint. If you think there are several layers of wallpaper on top of each other....then anothe suggestion that I saw, that looks good, is if you just put up inexpensive paneling with nails to cover the wall paper. Make sure you fill in the nail holes and then simply paint the paneling.

Painting over wall paper is a big mistake. Yes, it's a bit of a mess to remove but when it is painted over it will peel and be extremely difficult and way more messy to get off. Always remove it first to save big headaches later. Another note removal takes steam so if it's not a HIDEOUS wallpaper emergency you make want to wait for cooler weather.

No, it looks like painted paper. It will be "flatter" than a normal wall surface, if the wallpaper wasn't textured. It is extra work, but the finished result is worth it for you to go ahead and remove the wallpaper. Someplace like Lowes or Home Depot should rent steamers you can use to remove it safely.

If the wallpaper is smooth, and if you prime and the paint is darker than all the colors on the wall paper then yes.

It depends on how light the wallpaper is and how dark the paint is. I don't recommend it though. Wall paint is designed to adhere to a specific texture.

No, the wallpaper seams will stand out. Try sponge painting the wall which will "hide" the seams to the naked eye.

yes and no. If you can see the seams of the wall paper then you will probably see them when you paint the wall. Been there, done
that, thats why I know.

No, it looks horrible and eventually the wallpaper beneath starts to lift & peel - then you've got one heck of a mess on your hands stripping it all back to bare wallboards
