I'm dyeing my hair dark brown, i want something that lasts. I can't afford to get it done professionally, but i would like similar results.

Go to a salon that uses Aveda products...your hair will be in better condition AFTER the use of the hair dyes than before....

I'm a cosmetologist & I'm going to tell you that there's notheing better than the professional stuff...but if you absolutely MUST do it yourself I'd go with either Garnier Nuetresse or Garnier 100% color. I loved what it did for my hair & I also used it on other people before I was able to buy the profesional brands. The reds fade fast, but since you're going with a dark brown you shouldn't have much of a problem with it fading.

I dye my hair at home and I've experianced with diffrent brands of hair dye but DO NOT USE garniar 100% color because that washes out right away. Also, no hair dye will last more that a few months then you have to dye it again or you get icky roots.

Don't dye it. Nature gave you beautiful hair, why do you want to spoil it? Do you really think that what man has made is going to improve on nature!
What is in your heart is what makes you beautiful or not!
If people do not find you beautiful as you are, they do not see YOU and YOU do not need them.
If I say I am an artist and I am going to paint the forest, should I pour blue paint into the river to make it bluer first, or maybe throw black paint on the tree so the bark will have a more real look?
Too, I could stick imitation Flowers in the field in order to give it more color. INSANE! Yes. Nature does not need human help!

HYDRIENCE others fade sooner i dye mine black pearl i've tried other brands and at the end i regret it my hair changes color after a week to a redish color it sucks.

I have used a newer product called CHI recently. You have to be a stylist or go to a salon that has it, but they have probably the best color out there at the moment.

Willa is the best it comes in a glass bottle and its what the professional hairstylists use
