Found this out when we arrived...Owners say they have to pay $40 per night to Yahoo for this. This seems like a rip off to us. 2 nights $80... So it cost us $80 for the priveledge of having Yahoo book for us.

Why didn't you see that before ?? Hmmm..You paid $40 more a night because YOU did not do the research..any other questions?

I am not sure why Yahoo Travel does this, but for future reference, do yourself a favor(and save some money)--use a Travel Agent. I hear about this all the time from customers(I am Owner of a Travel Agency), so Yahoo Travel isn't alone in doing this.

I NEVER use a vacation dealer. I go straight to the source for the best prices. The only time I have ever gotten a good deal was with priceline for a rental car. Yahoo is a good source to find hotels etc..and then go to their website and book yourself. *grins

The reason you paid more is because you didn't research or the fact that yahoo knows there's a sucker born every minute.
