Yes, they should at least give it their best shot, though you must understand that language apprehension is not everyone's forte: He!!, they can bearly speak their "native tongue." So, as in most things, allowances must be made... Just curious, how many languages have you "mastered?"
Good Point to Make... We all need to be more "multi-culturally" versed, and versitile!

No I think all Americans should speak at least one Native language. Those were the original languages of this country, certainly NOT SPANISH.
If English isn't good enough for you, go back to wherever they speak Spanish.

I dont see why I should learn Spanish when our native tounge is English. If people want to move to this country they had better learn to speak English or they can find another country to be a part of.

You need to get something straight. This is NOT MEXICO. This is America. We speak English here. I learned Spanish in college but only because I thought it was easy but I don't speak it when I go out. Why? THIS IS AMERICA......NOT AMEXICO.

No. English is the language of America. It is what we speak. Why should we who are established here have to abandon our way. Those peole who immigrate here LEGALLY understand that fact and they learn English and do everything right.

It might not be a bad idea the way our government is and the way those
s o b's are flooding across the border. I probably ought to get brushed up on Mexican history as well since we'll be celebrating their holidays before long.
