i got one sonny liston(prime) mike tyson (prime) how ?what round?

I would have to go with Liston in the middle rounds. What people forget is that Liston was not a plodding big man, he was fairly quick for his size and had a punishing jab.He would jab Tyson to death all night, then hammer him with the right hand. He would probably cause facial damage due to his jab before knocking him out. Tyson's power would diminish as the rounds went on and would get frustrated because he would be unable to get through Sonny's jab.

Both in their prime would be an all out war. If they fought 10 times they would probably each win 5. I think Tyson had the more powerful punch,but Liston was the more well-rounded fighter. Liston was a very skilled fighter,not just a face forward slugger. The pre-prison Tyson was a killer. Anyone who says that he was even near the same fighter when he got out of prison is out of their mind..lol. I think had he not gone to prison,his fights with Lewis,Holyfield and some of the others that he lost,would have had entirely different outcomes. As for the question of Liston or Tyson,I can only say this,if the fight ended before the 5th round..Tyson would be the winner,if it went into the later rounds,Liston would have the advantage. Two of the baddest men to ever lace up the gloves.

i think every one is givin tyaon to much credit. i dont think he would have lasted more than 5 rounds.
liston was just as pwerful and as much of a killer as tyson was.
but liston had the ring generalship plus a very big reach advantage.
and he was a couple of inches taller and out wieght tyson by atlest 15 pounds. plus he would not have been scared of tyson the way many boxer where. some guys like frank bruno and mike doke accually hurt tayson but did not follow up and try to finish him off. sonny would not have a problem with that when he smelled blood he would have got the job done.

Sonny Liston was a big menacing fighter and Mike would not have been able to outslug or outbox him. Sonny had an 84 inch reach and terrific power. Sonny would have knocked him out in about 8 rounds.
