My dog has approx only 25% of her liver operating. She is on lactulose and started taking Denosyl recently. She is a 9 1/2 year old papillon. Is there any hope in a turnaround? She has never had any heath problems.

My dog has a liver tumor and my vet told me to give 400 mg a day of milk thistle. Its over the counter herb that helps detoxify the liver. You dog is much smaller so a lower dose maybe? It helped my dog. Ask your vet, also he had a plasma transfusion (can be expensive) they both helped. Good luck!
