We're coming from Chincoteague,VA but live in Indy.

you could travel by plane or if your in new york travel by train. i know this because i live in new york.

I would fly into Newark. Try to avoid LaGuardia; it's an old, crowded little airport.

Or if you REALLY want an adventure, take Amtrak into the middle of NYC. More expensive than flying, but a different experience.

It hardly need be pointed out to you that New York NY IS "new york city".

Okay, having been a brat about that...

...don't you think it would help if you tell us all where you're traveling FROM?

Drive right up through MD, DE, NJ and through the Lincoln Tunnel. Manhattan is very easy to drive around--the lights are well synchronized. (If you're driving, please note that you can't make a right turn on red in NYC!) If you don't drive up, take the train & enjoy getting around by subway & bus. It's a great place to visit!
