I have a 3 month old lab puppy and her ears are starting to stand up! One of them is straight up and the other flops over her head. Will they go back down? IS there anything I can do to help them stay down without hurting her or making her uncomfortable?

She is mostly lab. I knew she was a mix when I got her, I just didn't know what she is mixed with! The ears are cute now, and I love her to pieces, I just don't see her with pointy ears and an all lab body!!

Is this Lab a purebred? I'm asking because I've never heard of a Lab's ears wanting to stand up unless they are mixed with a Shepard type breed. Do not try to re-adjust the pups ears on your own. Take her to the vet's and ask him what you can do.

Not much you can do short of surgery. The pup is so young it will go through quite a few more changes yet. It really shouldn't matter wether they lay down, stand up or flop around. Just love the pup.

My German Shepherd had one floppy ear till he replace into just about 8 months! It replace into too cute and your domestic dog sounds cute besides. It relies upon on like the how the muscle groups of their ears are coming up. it is common for one to be up before the different, and doubtless it could additionally stay down. have relaxing which includes your new cute equipment of relaxing!

sometimes ears do weird things. When my dog was a puppy they pointed in different directions for different periods of time. They went back to normal eventually, but my favorite was when they formed a little hat over his head.

Probably not. Unlike humans, dogs dont usually need or want nose jobs or such...lol. Love her for who she is. I do that same for my fur kids and they wouldnt be the same if they had their little ears rearranged! My yorktese girl has floppy ears, but I have found a style of hairdo that is becoming for her and she wouldnt be Luci if she had perky ears....lol.
Best of luck with your baby..

Is this purely a cosmetic question? I'm sure the dog's ears are fine just the way they are.
