I'm trying to grow my hair out so I can donate it. Locks of Love is one of those programs that turns donated hair into wigs for kids with cancer. I want to do this at least once in my lifetime. I was wondering if anyone else has done this before.

My sister did it before. Make sure that when you go to get it cut, that you go to a salon that is associated with the foundation. Btw, I think it's great that you're doing this! =)

Yes , I have i grew my hair out to like below my butt so my hair was still pretty long. i guess the wigs went fast too because that is what i was told. I am doing it again and my hair is at mid back. Around were it was after i got it cut but then i had my hair cut a again lol.

That's great! I was trying to do that a while back, but w/ the hot weather, I had to cut it. I think it's great that ur going to do this. Good for u! I'm gonna try it again, but I probably won't be able to donate it for another 1 1/2, though. Good Luck!! :)

My friend has and i think it's very nice but i am i guess kind of selfish because having long hair is what people know me by and by being a good person and being smart OK enough about me i cut my hair but i didn't even think about that if i would have thought about it i would have :( sorry

My husband donated his hair. He hadn't cut it for years, it was really long. They said at the salon that they don't get too many men donating.

My hair has never been long enough but I would if it was. Make sure you take really good care of your hair. If its not healthy enough they can't use it and it would be a shame to work on growing it out so long then not be able to use it.

my best friend did 3 years ago: her hair nnever looked better! and + its for a good cause, so ts a good idea that you wanna do it @least once.
