that is my sister's trick. She uses the original bottle of undiluted lysol, you can get it in drug stores, to get rid of ants. Even the professional exterminators didn't do the trick, lysol did.

I clean with concentrated steam, baking soda and vinegar. We have no carpet, pets and don't smoke. Friends with allergies are more comfortable in our home then their own, there is no trick to this, just a little more elbow grease. Oh, and to control ants, plant mint!

Any concentrated cleaner could be used as a pestcide.
