Is Snickers a dumb name for a chocolate bar ??

In the Uk it used to be called Marathon. If it had to be changed can anyone think of a better name. Why was it changed in the first place ???????

In the U.S. and Canada it has always been called Snickers ( although there is also a bar called a Snickers Marathon Bar which is an energy bar used for sports. Perhaps the one in the U.K. was changed to avoid confusion). I'm not sure why they changed it, but they still do taste good. I wonder if Snickers tastes the same in the U.K. as it does in the U.S.? I know that Kit Kat bars are really good in Canada and the U.K. but taste quite different in America.

No, Snickers is not a dumb name. But I tell u what. Years ago in Germany the name for Twix was Raider. Don´t u think that´s a dumb name?

I believe the USA Snickers bar was named after a race horse.

Snickers is a great name, I always liked the name and guess who's been laughing at the bank everytime someone buy's one, think about it:)

do you remember the old yorkie bars that you could buy- that were full of almonds?? they were gorgeous, but they stopped doing those!
