My dog was either bit or stung by an insect, but what?
It's is on his belly. It looks like a bee sting but has a red circle around it. Does anyone know what it is or what website to look on to find out what it is?

I would let your vet determine what has happened to your dog..

Could be lots of things. While fleas will bite humans, their preferred target is dogs and cats and it is a lot less likely that a flea would choose to bite you when your dogs are just as close. Could be chiggers or a number of other outdoor insects....particularly if the grass is longer.

If the bite/sting has a black dot in the middle - most likely it's a bee sting. If you not going to a vet right away, Check from time to time for swelling. A little aloe won't hurt, just make sure he does not lick the area....good luck

If there was more than one concentric red circle I would suspect Lyme disease (by tick bite). It looks like the pics referenced below in humans, though I can't see any pics for dogs.

dogs get ring worm easily if there outside alot make sure to wash your hands alot so you wont get it but it could also be heat rash my dog gets it alot in the summer take to a vet just to be sure ring worm is not fun
