When my sons tummy hurts, I lay with him and rub it. He usually wants me to do that.

(1) I would put a call into the doctor - forget it is Sunday. If you are insured, most insurance companies have a nurse avail to talk to at the insurance company.
(2) in the meantime, you should be hydrating her with Pedolite (sp?), soft drinks she likes, apple juice (nothing citric as it will irrate her stomach more). Apple sauce, crackers, some DRY (no milk) cheerios. Fruit popsicles (not ice cream) any flavor she likes except red, in case she has to have a urinalysis you don't want it to be dyed red...but if she insists, just remember what she has eaten.
HYDRATING is the most important. THe Pediolyte (spelling) is the best way.
Kids get high temps but still you should be concerned. Did the doctor put her on antibiotics? if she has a viral infection? Or did she say that nothing could be done?
Ginger ale works on adults should be good on her. Also, coke - believe it or not.
Crackers should be saltine not ritz. Remember when you w/pregnant? What helped you?
Again, hydrate, hydrate....dehydration makes you ill.
Don't be nervous, upset around her - she will pick up on the vibes.
Rub down with alcohol. If she complains of a headache, iced pack on head (covered in a towel so she won't get a ice-burn).
My heart goes to you. So hard to get kids comfy when they are not well.
What did the doctor tell you to give her for the fever?
HYDRATE!!!!! lots and lots. Flush that temp out of her.
Good luck...

They say their "tummies hurt" a lot, but this is not really very specific, as what can we expect of a 2-3 year old? She may just have hunger pangs because she does not eat well because she's sick, poor darlin'. Good that her temp is gone. Try vanilla milk shakes [the real ones] - she'll probably like the idea of having a treat instead of regular old boring food and it has soothing properties and has some nutritional value, plus it has calories that she needs.

when my 3 year old has an upset tummy, we give him a little ginger ale (or bubble drink as he calls it) to get him to burp and then a tums. he just loves tums -> yes, i know that is just a little odd. better tums than candy. anyways, it often helps if he really has an upset tummy (although he also wants to have one whenever he has the hic-ups too). in addition, pedialyte is good. it is sweet so kids like it and it helps balance the electrolytes when the kiddo is not eating right. if she can swallow it, boost is good. at least my 3 year old thinks so. i have never tried it myself, but my husbands grandmother gave it to him when his belly was not feeling good while we were at their house and he slurped it down and did not complain about it again. every now and then he actually asks for it. one other thing i woud suggest is a little pepto particularly if she likes peppermint candies or really likes the color pink cause it will be easy to get down. good luck and whatever happens, be sure to keep lots of fluids flowing, pedialyte and water and juice, whatever she will actually drink. more good luck!!

my youngest went through the same thing rash and all the only Thain we found was tummy soothers it is all natural med that can be found in most drug stores i got it at Walgreen's
and all we could get her to eat was mashed potato's made with chicken broth. and if she drinks regular milk try lactose free because with a bad viral infection can cause inflammation in the intestines witch makes it so the body can't handle regular milk witch can cause an upset tummy
good luck

Doctor's opinion is the last and best, just a little advice that won't hurt: keep her on fluids, yoghurt, fruits, milk and some hot anise drink that is obtained from pharmacies and is great for upset tummies. I wish her a quick recovery.

Maybe she's hungry...and that's why her tummy hurts. If her stomach is empty from throwing up...that's probably what happened. Try giving her something to eat....see if that helps.
Start with some bread...or crackers....they will fill up her tummy without having to eat too much.

ginger is soothing to the stomach... ginger snaps would be good. ginger ale doesnt work because it doesnt actually contain ginger. (i just learned that recently, when MY 2 1/2 year old was sick.) try some chicken soup.... homemade with love!
