Now I have a Irish Mother who was born in Africa to Irish Parents from a Half Irish/ Half German background. My Father is from.... Persia and he has a family background of Persian/German.

Now I was born in Ireland, yet am little confused about what to call myself. Am I Half Irish, Half Persian, Or Am I half Irish half german or Half Persian half german. I'm alittle confused about this. Also I was born in Ireland...

So which country can i say i am partly from? Hmmmm?

You are a very interesting meld of cultures, that's what. You would be 1/4 Irish; 1/4 Persian; 1/2 German, if I have the math right (Being from Arkansas, I have to take off my shoes & socks to count to 20), and if you were born in Ireland, then that is the country you are from. The Irish/Persian/German bloodlines are your heritage and Ireland is your country of origin.

You are more german than anything else. You are 1/2 German, 1/4 Persian, and 1/4 Irish. Tell people that you are German.

Since you were born in Ireland, it makes you Irish practically automatically. Your ancestry is then German, Persian and Irish. Unless you were born with parents that had citizenship in another country and then you receive a dual citizenship. (Ex. parents from Canada, child born in Australia and receive both). But to make things simple and mainly true, you're Irish.

Well, you can say you're PART, all of them, really.

but, as to what you should probably be calling yourself - I'd say Irish, as that's the most dominant one.

Without knowing your exact family tree, I can't really give you the fractional break-down, but, basically, say you're Irish, with some German, Persian, and a little bit of African, if you want (she was born there, after all)

I think you're a little more than just half Irish, though.

Are you a U.S. citizen & how long? You have an Irish, Persian, German ancestry. Everyone has some sort of ancestry history from other countries in their family when traced back. I do, but I'm American with Indian, German, Irish, and Black Dutch blood running through my veins.

Which do you identify with more? Do you feel more Irish or more Persian or more German? Also which country to you live in? Forget about where others are from, where do you feel that you're from?

I am part French Canadian, Irish, Scottish, Polish, British, Russian, Czechoslovakian, Yugoslavian, Ukrainian, and Mongolian. That's what you can call yourself, say you are part Irish, German, and Persian. Then say you are from Africa although you are part so on and so forth.
