there's this guy at work that i really like, but he's been experiencing a lot of difficulties in his life right now. then last week, my girl bestfriend was talking with him and he told my friend that besides all his problems... he needs to get over a girl... and for the past months he has been flirting with me all along.... now im confused.... so is it possible that while he was flirting with me he has feelings for another girl? or would that girl that he need to get over with could possibly be me??? i don't know it's just an intuition... but he never really told me straight that he likes me just through flirty actions....what do you guys think?

He was probally in a bad relationship at first and needs to get over her, but he could like you!

You are right to be concerned. I suggest you give him some space so he can take care of those "difficulties in his life", whatever they might be.

If he has feelings for you, he will appreciate the concern and respect this gesture implies. If she is not that much interested in you, then you can move on to someone better. You can ask your girl best friend to find out more -but that would involve her into a conflict of interests, since it seems he is her friend too. The decision is up to you.

Give him more time, keep being a good co-worker and friend so he can notice what an exceptional woman you are.

he may have had a bad affair or relationship. or it may be you, though I don't think so. flirting with the opposite sex is a way of getting attention without getting involved. let him make a definite move toward or away from you before getting involved more than casually. also, since work is involved, it would be better not to get involved with him at all.

I think you might help him keep his mind off of his problems. just to be on the safe side I would just stay friends with him until I knew whats is up for sure.
