I have been to TAP (Transition Assistance Program) that the Navy holds to give you info for those about to get out of service, It is my understanding that they are required to move your belongings to your home of records. They don't have to move it to a different location even though that is where you intend to be after service. You might need to check with your housing office as well as your personnel and disbursing office, there they can tell you if u have the option of changing your home of records. If they allow you to do that then they will pay to have it moved to that location.

It's a command directed move, so the military either has to provide a moving company or pay you for a ditty move. The moving company packs up your crap.

When I discharged they did not move a single thing of mine. If you were changing duty station they did. However, if you were leaving the service all together they basicly kick you out the door and loose all your paper work. MAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING INCLUDING YOUR SERVICE RECORD, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO STEAL IT!!!!!

I don't know what you mean by military seperations [sic].

If you mean separation [correct spelling] (discharge) from the service the answer is yes.

And it's "its next" not "it's next"
