Ok my best friend told me today that i need to find a man to pay for things for me. I told her that i am very independant and dont need a man for his money. I will get a man because im in strong like not to get money.Im trying to tell her that she does not need to use them but she thinks that is what they are here for.I want to know am i right by being independant.

I had an ex that was totally into using me for my money. At first it started slow with small gift then slowly got bigger. I admit I was taken for about 2 months in this way but then it dawned on me that I was spending so much money on her. Buying her gift, paying for gas in her car, paying for her cell bill. Then it hit me. I like a girl who can take care of herself, does not need my help but if needed she is not to big to ask for help no just expected me to give her hand out. Being a man I would have to say that I find a woman who can take care of herself support herself and has goals and dreams ar the most sexy women out there. They show strength and personality. A woman who uses me again will get kicked to the curb so fast. I need someone strong not a gold digger.
Your friend is a loser for thinking that men are there for her to use. She will get no were in life. Who wants that in there life.

I agree with you- you shouldn't need to have a man in your life, for money or any other reason. Good for you for being independant. If you find a guy you connect with and want to start something with then great, but having a guy in your life just to have a guy makes no sense. Men are not here to pay for things. It's a wonder your friend can keep a guy if that's her attitude. If she wants to stick to that thinking, what's keeping guys from treating women like baby making machines?

I think men like to feel needed, and that they can take care of their woman. Your being so strong and independent may be a turn off to some men. I think some men like to be the knight in shinning armour... you know. On the other hand there needs to be a balance... they don't want a gold digger either. I think your friend cares a lot for you and wants to see you happy.

If you start to depend on a man for material things, you also begin to lose self respect. It feels good to be independent and not have to ask anyone for anything. Unless you need a daddy to take care of you, then I'd say you're not mature enough to handle yourself.

You don't need a man
Tell her she needs to stop depending on men to do the work
she needs to support herself because if she doesnt when she gets married
her man will be making all the money and then if something were to happen between them two
She would end up with no money and likely on the streets!!!

First, I do not think you can tell convince her not to use men. She believes what she believes. I think you are exactly right in being independent. That is a very appealing quality to any man who is worth while. Be yourself. You have the right idea.

You don't need a man to pay for things, but you may need one to help each other to Improve each others quality of life. The moment you become dependant on someone it will act as drug, you'll never be satisfied and eventually he will get tired of you and you will be right back where you started or maybe worst.

Well, it is nice to find someone that will take care of you, and someone with money....but you are right.....you should be independent....after all, she will not have a man all the time.....would that make her homeless? If she wre, she would not get the man she wants.....there is nothing wrong to be wanting to be taken care of.....but it is nice to know, that if you don't have someone that can....you can do it yourself

this sounds more like a situation where you would have to let your friend get burned so she could understand where your coming from ....cause she sounds like shes set on what she believes in ...........i say you right for being independent cause when a mAn is not around how are you gonna eat ......how would you get you phone bill payed etc.......yeah tru you got family but if you dependin on a man for these things sooner or later somebodys gonna let you .....so i say do you cause you are a diein breed ..........CAUSE AFTER KANYE DID THAT GOLD DIGGER JOINT THEY'VE BEEN COMIN OUT OF THE WOOD WORK ........

It's good to be independant, but it costs more. Just decide which is more important. You picked independance, she picked the other.
