We're 19, and we've been dating for a while. He told me that he loved me, but how do I know if he means it? Please nothing rude! Thanx in advance.

You should be able to tell by the way he treats you. Love is an action, not a word. Is he considerate, helpful, thoughtful and kind to you? I don't know why you have reason to doubt his feelings, but if you do you need to ask yourself why.

I am a lot older than you, but I never miss a day telling her that I love her. I also never go through a moment when she knows that I do. She is my best friend, I can be whatever she needs me to be. It takes two to build a life, and we both give more than we receive, because what you think you give is maybe not what the others need. So if you both give 90% maybe it adds to 50% that's a pass

Um when did he tell you? Did he tell you after sex, because you forked over the remote or because you did him a favor.
You have to go by the context and what was going on. If he just came out of the blue and said I love you ___! then its the truth. You'll really have to go by what you feel. We can all answer what we think but its really what you think because we were not there at the time.

Well you NEVER know if they really mean it. I go by actions and not words. If he really loves you, you can tell by the way treats you. Once I was bad sick and outta tampons and my guy went to the store and bought them for me, which is against some law in the man rule book. That was true love. LOL!

okay, this is how..... you need to trust him. if this is the first time hes said it and you have been dating a while, its a big step for him. and, do you love him? if so, you should tell him. and, another way to see if hes telling the truth, is look into his eyes when he says it. if you see deceit in there, its not truthful, but from what youve put down, if you had been dating a while, it seems to me to be the truth.... but, ive not seen his eyes, and they tell the story.

love is something that doesnt have to be "believed". It simply is what it is. If you feel it, you do..if not, it probably isnt love. Sounds simple, and it really is.....until youre in the middle of it - but it is true kiddo

how sweet :) he probably means it, but now is the time for him to show it, you may wanna test him a little (dont get out of line though). and from now on try to judge by his actions. oh also if he really does hell tell you this often.

You can just tell, you just know it. You can feel that in your heart he loves you. But if you don't feel that then maybe he might be just saying it. But not every guy just says it, trust me.

If you cannot tell if he means it he probably doesn't. Only way to know for sure is over time.
