You are just plain stupid. Get off your fat useless a$$ and go to Iraq or Iran for a year or so. Until then shut your hole...everything that comes out of it is useless garbage.

I wish this was so...
Unfortunately, all the objectives of the neo-cons will (if not already have) be met.
People like to say we "lost Vietnam" but that is decieving. We completed all the objectives of the war planners in that place. If we didn't win on the ground, and human life was spent, that is not even a factor as far as they are concerned. We don't go to war to fight, we go to steal, or adjust so that we can better steal. We did that in Vietnam. There were no tears shed by the hawks back then. We cut out because it got too costly to the elites.
In Iraq, we will ease out, witha fascade of honor, peace with dignity again. We will have also gained control of the oil in the region, disallowed Iraq (under Saddam ) to mess with OPEC prices and set up enough bases to protect Israel and intimidate the Saudis.
The only ones who will suck shame is the troops, and they are just people like you and me, not rich elites... thats sad. They will have the PTSD and the domestic violence, and the problems.
We need to look always to the plan book, look at the writings of Richard Perle and William Baker III, those who wrote the neo-con literature that became the blueprints for this war. That shows what they are sad about or not. One of the first things Bush stated to the Iraqis was "do not burn the oil fields" that is a very telling statement.

At 3 am any morning we wish we could bomb EVERY Arab city clean off the map, leave nothing but a giant smoking hole in the sand! We can target every city with satellites and cut loose with NUKES, MOABS, and TOMAHAWKS loaded with fuel air explosive. Europe would see the flash and feel the ground shake!
There would be NO Arab cities and what few Arabs survivors were left could be put on reservations, finger printed, DNA profiled, and Tagged like we do our cattle! WE have the oil, the land would be a US territory, and Arabs would pass into history. 100 years from now the lone Arab kid would ask his grandfather " Why are there so few Arabs?". His grandfather would answer " Well many years ago we made a real bad mistake. We pissed off the Americans and at 3am they blew every city away! Now we are all that's left."

Although I completely disagree with the premise of this war
and despise our current leaders for getting us into it, I don't
think it is fair to say we are taking a beating in the traditional
sense: More Iraqis suffer violent deaths in that region than
Americans do -- by a factor of 50 times or more.
However, we are completely destroying our own credibility
as peacemakers and ultimately giving unhappy people a
very large target to hate.
I'm also not clear what it means to "suck shame", but
I do believe that this administration will historically be
viewed as one of the worst administrations we have
had in this country - ever.
We may or may not find out just how corrupt it is,
how much it is being told what to do by the energy
companies, etc. We may find out that it cynically
used people's religious feelings in this country for
financial gain, etc. Or we may not.
However, I do hope we are capable of remembering
how one administration used one horrific event (9/11)
and manipulated the country's fear into waging a war
based on scant evidence, poor planning and totally
waving our freedoms to actually DECREASE our security.
Here's another way to think about it: Approximately 3000
people died due to terrorists on 9/11/01. More people die
of flu every year. More people die of AIDS every DAY.
Never-the-less, we have used this event to completely
install paranoia across the nation: It makes us beligerant
and turns us into bullies.
How many people LIKE bullies?
We have forsaken many of our freedoms and several
billion dollars as an indirect result of this act (suposedly).
How can we possibly think this wouldn't have pleased these
terrorists?
I'm all for being careful, but the heightened paranoia has
cost us (both financially and in terms of freedom) far far more
than the terrorists could have hoped for. We will NEVER
be able to make ourselves safe again, just as we were never
safe to begin with.
You cannot completely protect 300 million people on a gigantic
land mass where some of people who wish it ill are already
in our country - and some were born here. It cannot be done.
Consequently, if the only way the war on terrorism will end
is with victory, the victory will be that of terrorism. At best,
we can reduce the will of the terrorist by trying to increase
justice and humanity throughout the world. Bombing won't
help that.
The United States used to be a beacon for Democracy.
Its slowly turning itself into a paranoid belligerant bully.
I believe we should be constantly improving our own
security by reducing the size of targets (not having so
many people depend on one water supply, reducing the
size of cities, having more smaller airports, etc) and
improving non-intrusive security technology.
I don't think we should discard all of our freedoms
and submit to random anal cavity searches, while we
wage war with people who may or may not have
weapons of destruction.
Remember, the United States still holds the honor of
having loosed the worst weapon of mass destruction:
twice against Japan.
So: If you're talking about our stature as a country taking
a beating, I could not more strongly agree.

Let me see, we have more hospitals open, we have more schools up, The Iraq people have freedom, girls are going to school and stores are open.
The terrorist are having to use outside help to continne to hide and kill mostly thier own Iraq people.
And of course it is not an illegal war, Congress approved it by large percent in both houses. Any president of any party would have done the same,
The same is people who are won't support thier country and thier troops. These are the people who are already showing thier shame.

It is a shame. I don't totally blame Bush: he only made the mistake of appointing a$$clowns to represent his advisory cabinet sections that had led him to such decisions.
The Iraq war, however, is a farce I agree. Troops should pull out when there's no ORGANIZED enemy army to fight; battling "insurgents" ( a politically correct term for common prison escapee thug ), only leads to a dirty war; akin to Vietnam.
It's well time to pull out from this $55 BILLION a MONTH war; before it tip over damages our economy.

The Democrats approved of the war and voted for it, and the Congress gave the go ahead, as*swipes. Between the liberal press and American hating assholes like you we don't stand a chance. It's a good thing you weren't around in WW2, we would be speaking German now.

Come over to Iraq for a while... War is war, people are going to die... Actually it's kind of funny... I'm safer in Iraq than most major cities in the US... Define "illegal war" for me please... Just be happy that I am defending your right to free speech...

Yes, the World knows because it is giving us the beating. Thanks to George Jr., the U.S. has exposed it's dumb and arrogant underbelly, and the sharks of the world want to take a bite. When "hunt 'im down and smoke 'im out" produces nothing, and when "shock and awe" turns to "awe ****," we can be the Ugly Americans without ever leaving home.
