Another lady at work recommended her nephew and they hired him. Do you think I should recommend my husband or does it look bad to a company for you to recommend a spouse?

If your husband is qualified for the job and you feel like he could do the job well without you too letting emotions get in the way of your work than recommend him.

as a recruiter, I appreciate any and all info about the people that apply. (legal info, of course.) Having a recommendation from someone about their skills, and work ethic says alot in getting someone on board. I would definitely recommend him and mention why he is qualified. Then let the process go through the process..

The company might not have any rules about it But have worked at places where nepatisim is common, and have hated every one of those companys they are usualy run like the mangment is a bunch of inbreed monkeys or your ideas to improve things would have a better chance with the monkeys just my thought on the idea

Well, obviously the place does not have a policy against hiring family, or they would not have hired the lady's nephew.

It couldn't hurt to mention that your husband is applying. Just don't be too pushy about it.

Make the recommendation. It can't hurt.
