No.. am not afraid of the dark.. its just the things that hide in the dark that I am afraid of. LOL.. no. joking. I am not really afraid of much, however if I watch a scary movie at night and if I am all alone.. sometimes I tend to listen to sounds (popping noises etc) in the house when the house is cooling down etc. and my mind will be thinking of scenes of the movie. I usually just end up going to sleep.

I'm still afraid of the dark, which has to do with stuff that happened when I was a child, even at my age, with my husband right by my side in bed, I still have a night light.

I used to always leave the light on in a particular room of my house, because I had a nightmare about that room. I won't go into details, but we'll just say that it wasn't pleasant. I finally just grew out of it, I guess, and realized that my nightmare wasn't going to ome true.

I think that people that are afraid of the dark, commonly are afraid of the unknown, not monsters in general.

Used to. Someone helped me get past it: Close your eyes at every oportunity - on the bus, sitting down at a meal, looking in your closet. Visualize what is in front of you. Open your eyes to see what it is, close them, "see" it again. Learn to "see" in the dark, whether walking or standing still.
