this song really lifts my spirits, even though am more of an agnostic buddhist than anything else. this song seems to have such a pure joy, that you don't have to subscribe to any religion to just feel happy that the singers, and the band sound like they are really enjoying what they are doing.
another two songs that lift me up with their pure joy are hey jude by the beatles and happiness by ken dodd. ding a dong by teach in i want playing at my funeral to cheer everybody up: i defy you to listen to this song and not be laughing or just lifted by the time it's been played. and a lovers concerto by the toys...ooh i feel great now lol :o)

darling, am schizophrenic and gay, that means i am more in touch with reality than "sane", "normal" people: you would have to live my life to appreciate what i am saying, it would be like me trying to describe the colour purple to a blind person.

Not necessarily, but it DOES prove that you have excellent taste in music!
And, by the way, Christians don't have a monopoly on celebrating the beauty of the Creation; joy can exist in any heart!

No being uplifted by a song does not make you a Christian. Believeing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, being baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, is what makes you a Christian. But the song may be God's way to minister to your heart.

Man,you are really out of touch with reality. Are you a movie star? No,that won't make you a christian!!A christian is a person that recognizes he is a sinner, and believes that Jesus came and died for us. He accepts this through faith, and he will do all he can to please God,not to try to buy his place in heaven, but because he loves God so much for what he did. He will continue to sin,but he must ask forgiveness, and God will forgive again. This is grace. But, you can't keep on sinning that same sin or any sin and expect God to keep on forgiving. He forgave Mary Magdalen, but he also told her to go and sin no more. In other words, she couldn't continue to be a prostitute.

LOL Being a Christian means following in Jesus' footsteps as closely as possible and accepting the sacrifice of his human life as the wages for your own sin.

Oh Happy Day is a very inspiring song I love it too, but liking it does not make you a christian, but keep listening you could become one.

no, it doesn't make you a Christian. I could like a Hindu song, but that wouldn't make me a Hindu. here's my thought: how a song makes you feel has nothing to do with the validity of the truth claims of a religion.
