I'd say Jerusalem is the safest place in Israel, honestly. If Hezbollah accidentally hit anywhere in the Old City, they'd piss off members of three religions, meaning billions of people attacking them.

Yes. Jerusalem is far from both the northern *and* southern borders where problems are the worst right now. And, in any event, Israel is safer than most places in the US anyway. Americans are so used to the risks in their own country that they don't even think about how awful it is that children can't walk on the streets alone, that it's not safe to go out after dark, etc. In Israel, these are both safe! And terrorism--as terrible as it is!!--kills fewer people in Israel than violent crime does in the US.

Things are as bad now as they have been ever in the last 25 years, but it is probably still safe for you to travel there. If Jerusalem itself, which is an international city, holy to three religions, and populated mostly by Palestinians, is in danger, then things are really, really dire. Best thing to do, though, is check with your government's state department (or foreign affairs department) and consulate for any travel warnings or updates.

It's never been safe to travel to Israel... Stay away from that part of the world. If you want to see Jews...visit to NY...they have taken over that place. But not for long for Arabs are moving in on them...

Yes--nothing would stop me from going. I have friends who left for Jerusalem and are there right now. All is fine.

Sure, why not? Just gotta watch your back like in every other city. Report suspicious objects or people. The media makes everything seem frightening but in truth, things are quiet here now.

Good luck!

Jerusalem is out of boming range.

Saying that, you still need to be cautious.
Take care and good luck.

You have got to be kidding. I guess it might be safer than going to Iran, N. Korea or parts of Africa but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Shalom from Israel!!!
I would recommend waiting a little while until the fight subsides.
Although it is one of the safest places in Israel.
