Depends on the standard you are using. If it's the Bible, then alcohol is OK, in moderation. Getting drunk is a "sin." Even the Puritans back in the day drank a bit, but they saw drunkenness as a sin.

For me, I suppose drinking would be "morally wrong," since I am an alcoholic, and I also suffer from depression. Alcohol would definitely mess me up. It would be "morally" wrong I guess because I KNOW that it would mess me up, and it would also affect the lives of others around me in a negative way.

By the same token, ANYONE who has a chronic illness should not put things into their body which might make their condition worse. If a diabetic, for example, neglected his insulin and ate all kinds of junk food and drank booze, etc., one could argue that that would be "morally" wrong, because it has the potential to mess him up, as well as those close to him.

If these things aren't "morally" wrong, then they are, at best, selfish and foolish.

There is no harm with Alcohol, It is just how and why we use it. I drink Alcohol with a meal a glass of wine or beer, since it helps with the digestion of heavy food, such as meat and cheese, any medical person will back this up. But to drink for the sake of the affect of forgetting or so called enjoyment to access, is a waist of money, destroyer of health and marriages and when young is shear foolishness. since we can fall into alcoholism.
A drink is also not against the Bible as some say, But recommended by Paul to Timothy 1Tim.5,23, but many also on Excess of drink and what harm it does. There are more problems with Alcohol than there is good, Drink Alcohol with care, treat it as a drug, and enjoy what God has given us for good. but learn also how harmful Drink and drugs are, if you are an additive person stay clear of these substances

Yes, in moderation. That happy accident of yeast and fermentation was the first truly civilized thing that we human beings created.

And the Christians who frown on drinking always forget that Christ's first miracle was changing water into wine- not into pop or grape juice. I'll bet that it was some of the best wine they ever had.

Yes, nothing wrong with it, as long as you don't abuse it.

it's like anything else: if you take one aspirin to cure a headache, that's fine, but if you eat half the bottle at one time, it could kill you.

A beer or a glass of wine now and then is perfectly okay, but habitually drinking alcohol all day every day can lead to alcoholism.

You have to take things in moderation and not abuse them.

It's your moral structure, but over-consumption to the point of drunkeness is NEVER acceptable.

Depends on the person. If you can control yourself and aren't hurting others, I think it's alright in moderation.

That depends upon how acceptable it is to consume substances that damage one both short-term, and long-term.
