After some years, I'm starting to believe online ads are a waste of time, just a mass delusion that one can find someone to romance face to face from an online ad. (And I'm talking apparently mutually desirable types mind you.) What are the stats? Has anyone reputable done a study? What's the "big-picture" anecdotal evidence?

I know several people who have had success at on-line romance. I also know one person who seems to always end up with the biggest loser you ever saw. She doesn't seem to care about that - she is desparate for someone to love her. I have been thinking of trying the on-line stuff. Let us all know if there are any success stories out there.
