You should tell them that you are a bird ready to spread your wings and fly, just say that you need your own space, you still want them to look after you, just not controlling your every move, maybe someday they will stop after you tell them what is on your mind!

Well, this all depends to how old you are. If you are young (13 or less) then they may want to control you a bit so as to prevent bad things from happening to you. There are a lot of bad things in the world and sometimes controlling you is the best way for you not to see these bad things. It is a different matter though if you old and they are still controlling you. I suggest that if this applies to you then you pull certain people aside and tell them that perhaps it is time they just let you live your life.

Why would they want to control you probably youre acting much above your age or are venturing into something too much for you to handle....If not then stand up for your self as an adult.

I'm 36 and my mother still nags I am married and 3 kids i find ignoring her works lol

I'm not sure exactly how old you are but if your still leaving at home this is something you need to deal with and accept. Sometimes parents are not ready to let their kids grow up. Be patient and talk to them.

you have to exert firm but gentle pressure so they learn to stop controlling you.Dont act like a goat.

Remind them that your time together is short and one day they will be complaining that you don't visit anymore (when they are oldies)
