I agree with the caramel or the reddish highlights. Unless you're fearless, make your change subtle the first time out. You'll need to touch it up in a few weeks anyway and can make changes at that time. If you're wanting to give personality and depth, go with natural tones. A lot depends on your age, skin tone and bravery!

Perhaps very deep reddish/brown tones, so that it's not real obvious (like blonde streaks, unless you want to look like a skunk). Without knowing more about your skin tones, it's hard to say. But, I suggest very deep brownish-auburn types of tones. I've seen such highlights done in a very subtle way on an Oriental woman's hair, and it was quite attractive.

It depends on your skin color. If you're going to a salon, the stylist will help you choose. If you do if yourself, though, I'd recommend not doing anything to drastic your first time.

Deep colors, MAYBE caramel. Don't do blonde! It looks EXTREMELY trashy and fake. I think Mahagony would be nice.

A deeper brown but not too dark. I wouldn't do blonde it would be too much of a contrast unless of course thats your style.

Chestnut or middle brown or mix those two, a little Chery-red and Blondie.

Red is always good and blue, they are usually subtle unless you're out in the sun.
