Their basic difference is Presbyterians believe in pre-destination.
At birth they believe that each individual is already destined for heaven or hell. Other than that there really is no other different significance.

The Scots Presbyterian Church is based upon an oft miss-understood concept called predestination. When God created the World, he created Laws. Lets use the law of gravity for example. If you hold up a ball in your hand and then let go the ball is going to fall. This is predestined because of the law of gravity. If you think about this, you will realize that many of the things that happen to us are the result of things that we have done. We have free will, but we need to find Gods laws and then follow them. May God be with you.

Like many denominations it has various differences within. Some are very solid Bible believing churches and some are going liberal.
They come from the reformation line of salvation by Grace through faith in Christ.

What are "usual" Christians? From what I understand, they believe in what the majority believe. For me I can't distinguish one church from another. I'm sure there are small differences.

Theologically safe, and sound. Service wise-more orthodox than Baptist. One of the few denominations left that teach from the Bible. They are okay. More older people there. Maybe more intellectual that most. But-good.
