is peanut butter a good treat for a golden retriever/lab mix?

Only if you want them to have REALLY bad gas!!!!!!!!!! i gave it to my lab once and she ranked.!!!!!!!!!Good Luck

Dogs love peanut butter, here is a snack that you can make for them
1 3/4 C whole wheat flour
1 1/4 C oatmeal
2 T vegetable oil
1 C warm water
1/3 C peanut butter
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Mix the dry ingredients together. Mix water and peanut butter together then blend into dry ingredients until you get a firm dough.
Blend both mixtures until a firm dough is achieved. Shape dough into an oblong roll, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for an hour.
Lightly grease two baking sheet. Slice roll into 1/2 inch slices, place on baking sheet and bake for about 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely before giving them to yur furry friends.

Peanut butter is fine for any healthy dogs. Good snacks are some apples, bananas, watermelon cubes, spoon of yogurt, orange or cucumber.

YES! they love it! i have the same kind of dog, and we got him a ball and it has to holes at the end, and u take a knife and put peanut butter in it and it keeps them busy for an while and they love it! i highly recommend peanut butter for your dog

try apples sliced and carrots, as a natural snack dogs love peanut butter also, but be careful with that it can bind them up.i give my dog meaty-bones as a special treat, and raw-hide chews,once in a while, not often tho.

Lol!!! NO!! but its hilarious to feed them peanut butter!! A good snack would be snausages or things in the dog isle of Wal-Mart..

Take some penut butter, make some balls out of them, put them in the freezer overnight, and then throw it to he/she to catch and eat. It's soooooo cool!

I use to give creamy to my golden retriever & he loved it, but it took him a looong time to eat it.

If you dog likes it. I put it in the middle of my dog's chew bone to keep him busy.
